I don't agree. I don't think it is about just trying to sue them for a large sum of money, these people will probably never pirate again, other ppl in turn will get scared of being caught ect, it's a snowball effect which will have greater impact than just these 2500 cases.
Cheers mate. Fingers crossed hey :)
I'm just really in the mood for another epic tale which FF games are renowned for producing. The whole concept of the 3 games set around the same basic story elements sounds interesting.
Though I don't currently own a PS3, I will probably end up getting the PS3 version of FFXIII, call me silly but for nostalgic reasons, I think I will play the FF games on the Playstation (good enough excuse to get one I guess) lol
I agree with you guys, would love some info on LO2 and/or Cry on.
So will the FF in game trailers be shown?
WOW, that is absolutely disgraceful. After spending millions of dollars on a title it would be heartbreaking to see it out there for free because of piracy.
I think the MS 360 initiative to ban people from Live might not be enough to stop this kind of thing.
It's certainly a contentious subject. Piracy (throughout any industry) is certainly a problem, call me naive but is the problem really rampant in games industry? I didn't know it was getting so bad?
You make a good point mate, though I think the changing times have actually ensured that the 'fun' aspect isn't now the most prominent crux of games. It seems now that great graphic/sound ect have overtaken the very reason why I personally play games. There are certain games (usually in the earlier generations of consoles) that weren't considered the pinnacle of gaming graphics but were just damn fun.
Gamers seem so superficial nowadays, if it doesn't have eye exploding graphics ...
Though I don't own a PS3 (yet) this game looks fantastic. I'm sorry but the author has a misunderstanding of what 'overhyped' is. With limited play of the actual game, he isn't in the position to give a accurate interpretation of overhyped status, which I must say, is hyped because of his colleagues.
Until this game (or any for that matter) is out in the community, we can't determine if it lives up to its' hype.
You guys are so lucky, for some reason this deosn't come out in Europe?Australia until early 09'.
Very good score considering the niche' market of JRPG's
Thanks for that, sounds more interesting than I thought it would.
America, the land of the free..... also the land of the free money. Seriously, no wonder the insurance companies are up the sh*t, people sue for anything.
Interesting, I can certainly agree with the concept that games can improve problem solving abilities. I love my JRPG's for that reason :)
I have a question. If I didn't really get into the first game, will the story elements make sense, I mean, is it a story driven franchise?
Game looks mighty impressive btw.
I don't have an iPhone but I just got an iTouch, love some of the apps this site suggested.
Some people are just ignorant and can't see past the fog (fog being fanboy blindness).
When will it end?
Im LOL at you now. You got owned.
Interesting. I guess with the level of realism in games nowadays, it's those little things that will start to distinguish the great shooters from the average.
Looks great, can't say I have really been 'into' some of the more recent WW shooters, maybe this might catch my interest.
His reviews are actually pretty spot on, he just has the balls to say things others are thinking.
Bloody funny.
I really need a bigger HDD, come on MS drop the price.......
Even if money wasn't an issue I think some (so called) gamers wouldn't buy the 'opposing' console because of some irrelevant idea of upholding extreme brand loyalty.
P.S I didn't realise these numbers were so important, people must have shares in these companies?
